The are A LOT of small pieces so might be cautious about ages and usage, my son is 5 but is very good about not sticking small pieces in his mouth and playing carefully.

      It's a pretty awesome set! My son had saved some money and he wanted to buy this off amazon. I put it together for him since he's only 5 and I wanted to make sure everything went right so he could play with it. But UMM for some reason there was MISSING pieces! Like I said I did it myself and didn't let my son for this very reason! I didn't want him to waste his 50 dollars. So, after awhile I finally got it together and had to work around the missing ones.
      I also thought they would stay together better because it's not the off brand legos but they dont :( everything fell apart on the truck and trailer while playing with it for not even a day. But it's okay I guess, i just have to rebuild everything and hope there's not even more missing pieces.
      It is a very awesome set though! My son loves it so much.
